Specially formulated for Ford automatic transmissions where a Ford MERCON® V fluid is recommended. MERCON® V fluids are typically recommended for Ford automatic transmissions beginning with the 1997 model year. Pennzoil MERCON® V Automatic Transmission Fluid is also suitable for use in those Ford automatic transmissions that require the use of a MERCON® fluid or other transmissions that require the use of a former type DEXRON® -III fluid. Pennzoil MERCON® V Automatic Transmission Fluid is a high-viscosity index product and offers good oxidation stability, corrosion prevention, foam resistance, and controlled frictional properties. MERCON® V Automatic Transmission Fluid also provides good seal compatibility, good wear protection and smoother shifting.
